Yesterday we went to a wedding in a place called Melbourne town
But we weren't invited to the after wedding meal so we had to kill a little time
So we put on some music and had a little boogie yeah we sang and we danced around
Then we called room service, who got a little nervous cos we started to drink wine

We sang ... and we danced ... and we drank (oh how we drank!)
and we made the party go with a bang

We asked the DJ to play some songs that would the party swing
then we got on the dancefloor cos this is what we came for a boogie and a little drink
we danced with the bride and woe betide anyone who wouldn't join in
and everybody said it was the most fun they'd had since Christmas or something

We sang ... and we danced ... and we drank (oh how we drank!)
And everybody noted
our behaviour clearly showed
we had fun and we 'knowed' it
as you might well have hoped it
and we made the party go with a bang

But we weren't invited to any more weddings...
